New Service Management System ideal for small businesses

Watford, 15 June 2001.
Pinnacle Computer Systems Ltd has launched the most recent variant of its widely acclaimed Service Director field service management system. The fully-featured solution is aimed at small businesses that require the high degree of functionality of a professional FSMS, but at a lower price and with a reduced implementation time.

Featuring all the key applications you would expect in an advanced Service Management System, Service Director SBE (Small Business Edition) incorporates functions including, call handling, despatch, escalations, contract management, logistics and invoicing, in a single package with a considerably lower capital cost.

As David Cotton, Sales and Marketing Director of Pinnacle commented, "Service Director has been, and remains, a very well respected and successful product for the larger user. At the same time have been aware for some time of the demand from smaller businesses. It is that demand which Service Director SBE will fulfil."

Pinnacle has identified one of its key aims as to embark on a rapid development program, introducing new products to specific market segments. The introduction of Service Director SBE represents the first phase of this initiative.

"In Service Director SBE you will find the same advanced, yet easy to use, software that has long been the hall mark of Service Director," said David Cotton, Pinnacle's Managing Director. "You will also see a new pricing matrix designed to make the product particularly beneficial to the smaller business."

Offering a shorter and more effective implementation cycle, the product is also designed to generate a positive return on investment in a significantly reduced period of time, unrivalled within the industry.

Users of Service Director SBE will also be able to take advantage of mobile data initiatives developed by Pinnacle, ranging from entry level SMS and IVR based systems, through to advanced solutions, using a range of laptop and PDA devices.

"These solutions are becoming more and more of a key requirement for service management businesses," commented Andrews, who joined the Pinnacle from wireless communications specialist, APD Communications. "Effective mobile solutions have a quick, and positive, effect on service levels and profitability, which can be easily quantified. Pinnacle's mobile solutions use a number of wireless technologies, with a particular emphasis on GPRS."

"You will see a number of further initiatives from Pinnacle over the coming months." added Cotton, "These will further enhance the reputation of our products and allow us to penetrate our key markets even more effectively."
